The
bark is where the name Lacebark Elm comes from. It grows fairly
quickly and is resistant to Dutch elm disease making it a popular
choice for landscaping. The trees are planted as an ornamental shade
tree on lawns, along streets and in parks. Fall color varies from
green to yellow to red.
